Any horse fans who are not tuned into the WEG - held for the first
time in the United States, at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington -
are really missing out. I started watching to see the disciplines I
am familiar with and am rooting for - Reining and Dressage. And of
course we are all pretty familiar with Show Jumping and Eventing.
But it has been fascinating to watch the Vaulting and learn how that
is scored, and today I'm watching the first day of the Combined
Driving. Similar to to Three Day Event, this first day is Dressage,
in an arena on a prescribed pattern. Tomorrow is the Marathon which
I am interested to learn about - I am picturing a cross country
event - and the final day on Sunday is Obstacle Course.

Hey, USA is in second position as of this writing!
